Former MP and Sudbury Mayor dead at 80

First, after battling a respiratory illness, John Rodriguez, former Nickel Belt MP and mayor of Greater Sudbury, has died. A former teacher and principal of St. David School in the 90’s he reportedly tried to fight forced retirement, running and winning the mayoralty in 2006. He died yesterday at his home. He was 80-year-old.
