Drive slowly, conditions are slick across the North

Conditions remain slick across the North with temperatures well below freezing. Greater Sudbury Police Service say motorists are thanked for their patience, as they deal with a two-vehicle collision near the entrance to Costco today.

Thankfully no lives were in danger as the fire involved a hydro line. It has since been dealt with.
 
Meanwhile, blustery winds and cooler temperatures have been snapping records in Sault Ste. Marie. Environment Canada says that Sault Ste. Marie’s low dropped to -18C today, a few degrees colder than the -13C set in 1995. In addition, snowfall numbers are up. Yesterday the Soo say 11 cm of snow fall, up from 9.1 cm 1976.
