COVID-19 advisory announced for ONTC travelers

A COVID-19 advisory has been issued pertaining to Ontario Northland. It’s for those travelling from Toronto to Sudbury, then to Timmins and Hearst on July 6. Those on the bus should self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for the next few weeks. If they have questions or concerns, they can contact the health unit.
The Ontario Northland bus left the Toronto Yorkdale Bus Terminal at 8:30 a.m. that day.
The bus headed to Sudbury then left Sudbury for Timmins at 5:30 p.m., also on July 6. The Ontario Northland bus then departed at 10:30 p.m. from Timmins and drove to Hearst.
The exposure to the public is considered low risk; however, as a precaution, Porcupine Health Unit officials are asking these travellers to self-monitor for 14 days, which will end on Tuesday, July 20.
