Construction continues in North Bay
A note to North Bay Drivers… the road may be done, but now, the traffic nights lights need to follow suite when comes to upgrades. More work is expected to slow traffic at the corner of Trout Lake Road, Mountainview Drive and Giroux Street.
Sudbury Rink Closed
The milder weather is shutting down some holiday activities for Greater Sudbury Residents, specifically, outdoor rinks. The city of Greater Sudbury says the Queen’s Athletic Skating Oval immediately due to recent mild weather.
Teens facing drug charges
Two teens caught with drugs will answer to charges. It all came down to a vehicle stop at the intersection of Highway 17 and Highway 6. An investigation revealed that both marijuana and cocaine were found. Both males, 19 years of age from North York and Brampton will be in court in February.
City of Timmins have new buses
City of Timmins will soon be showing off several 40-foot low floor conventional buses, specialized transit buses and service vehicles. This all thanks to another $600,000 infuse from the provincial gas tax program. This is all part of Ontario way of help municipalities enhance their transit systems.
Impaired driver charged in Sault Ste. Marie
A 28-year-old Sault Ste. Maire man came to a sudden stop this week, after the car the driving smashed into a parked vehicle just off Airport Road early. Following an investigation, the man was charged with impaired driving. He will be in court next month.
North Bay High School in the top 300
The Fraser Institute continues to roll out raking for Highschool. Toughing down on high schools in North Bay. West Ferris Secondary School finished at 243rd out of 740 high schools. St. Joseph Scollard Hall is at 279th followed by Algonquin which takes the 318th spot.
