The Fate of the Zoo in Sault Ste. Marie known as Spruce Haven is being held off until the end of the month. This is after the City of Sault Ste, Marie poised to outlaw circuses and zoos, but are proposing that the controversial Spruce Haven zoo be exempted from the zoo ban, allowing “the natural demise of the aging animals currently at the park.” Spruce Haven owners have committed to winding down zoo operations and promise not to accept any new animals.
