Another discovery of Human remains closed off a section of wooded area, and opened an investigation. This was after a deceased man in Lily Creek near Beverly Drive yesterday afternoon. The cause of the man’s death is unknown at this time.
 

Job loss in mining complex

Optimization is the word, being used to represent job loss in Timmins. It’s all happening at Tahoe Resources Timmins West mining complex. Roughly 8 people have found themselves out of a job since the beginning of the year, out from a company that had roughly 650 workers in the fall.
 

Two busted for theft in unrelated incidents

A 23-year-old who left with $240 worth of items, he allegedly didn’t pay for will have his day in court next month. Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested took a Garden River man into custody yesterday after the incident took place n the 200 block of McNabb.

A female is on the hook for theft in Sault Ste. Marie. Uniformed officers were called to a store in the 200 block of McNabb Street, where she selected just under $90.00 worth of merchandise and left the store without paying. She was apprehended by store security and held for police.
 

23-year-old killed in Snow Mobile Crash

An update on a tragic collision in Greater Sudbury. Police have confirmed that a 23-year-old female succumbed to injuries following a snowmobile collision on Lake Panache at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Early reports say that the driver and single rider lost control and was ejected from the machine.
 

Mill expected to create 90 jobs.

A $140-million saw mill slated to be built between the Bonfield turnoff and Rutherglen east of North Bay– is now in the approvals stage involving a number of various government ministries. The project was first announced in July of last year, and is expected to create 90 jobs with an annual payroll of $4.5 million
