City works through an emergency plan for colder temps

Sault Ste Marie is working through a report following a resolution to develop a warming shelter plan. While Environment Canada issues extreme cold warnings when temperatures plummet to -40C, some on city council are urging the city’s emergency management to send out a warning much sooner when temperatures reach –30C.
