Ford makes first stop in Greater Sudbury, as PC leader

PC leader Doug Ford was in Sudbury yesterday, for the first time since taking party leadership. Ford began his address yesterday at Cambrian College by discussing the need to get back to talking with the every day Ontario. And promising that if elected, he would cut $6 billion in spending without layoffs.
 

Parabus service will stay in North Bay

The city of North Bay says that, those who use parabus service, can rest easy. the service isn’t going anywhere. Councillor Mark King spoke to reporters this week and says that even though the Physically Handicapped Adults’ Rehabilitation Association has pulled out from operating the service, the city remains under legislation to provide a parallel-transit service.
 

Timmins ready to help flood victims

The city of Timmins says they’re ready to pitch in and help, those effected by flooding. A recent report says that some James Bay remote and coastal First Nations communities could experience rising waters this spring, and agreements are reportedly being finalized, between some community groups in Timmins and the leadership of several First Nations communities.
 

Teen Charged in theft, fraud

Sault Ste. Marie Police have taken a 19-year-old male into custody following a smash a grab on the 100-block of Elmwood Avenue. It’s alleged that the accused broke though the window of a vehicle to grab a wallet, and then used a bank card from the wallet to make purchase of just over $90.
 

Male Charged in Domestic Assault

A Sault Ste. Male has been arrested for Assault. The 23 year old male was allegedly engaged in a back and forth with a second resident in his apartment, when the argument turned violent. Police were contacted, and the accused was arrested a short time later.
 

Missing: Hamza Tokalett, 13 (Update: LOCATED)

The Greater Sudbury Police are currently searching for a missing teen. Hamza Tokalett is 13-years-old. He was last seen in the Laurette Street area in Chelmsford. This is according to Police who took to social media this morning.
