First…. firefighting, first aid response, use of emergency equipment and split-second decision-making will all be parts of a larger… simulated underground emergency when mining teams are tested this month. Teams from Sudbury, Onaping will be participating in the District Mine Rescue competitions on May 9-11. Laurentian University’s Mining Engineering Mine Rescue Team says they’re also going to participate on the 9th.
