State of Emergency in Timmins lifted

The state of emergency for Timmins has been lifted. In place for more than a month, the City of Timmins made the announcement yesterday. The Porcupine Health Unit confirmed the region would enter step one of the Roadmap to Reopen tomorrow.

 

North Bay Jail set to close for two-weeks

The Solicitor General’s office says that the North Bay Jail will be closing temporarily. It’s as the facility deals with a COVID-19 outbreak. Approximately 60 inmates will be transferred to other facilities to better isolate those affected, and mitigate the spread.
