Costly PCR tests required for cross boarder trip

Those heading across the border into the US are being warned of a pricey return process. Those across into the Sault Michigan, let’s say, will still have to undergo a PCR test for COVID-19 and produce a negative result upon returning to Canada. Antigen tests, often called ‘rapid tests,’ are not accepted. Upon returning to Canada, travellers must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours before their arrival at a land border or before a return flight. PCR tests cost between $150 and $300.
