New deal reached for 260 volunteer firefighters

A new deal has been reached this week, for volunteer firefighters in Sudbury. Roughly 260 had been without an agreement since 2016 and the union representing the group the new collective bargaining agreement, is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2017. It is slated to expire on Dec. 31, 2019.
