Accident on Highway 17 declared fatal

A major accident on Highway 17 near Hagar was one of two that happened this morning. KFM spoke to Carmel MacDonald, the safety officer with the OPP who says one driver, has lost their life.

Detours via Highway 537 and Highway 535. In addition, Highway 17 was also closed between Lively and Whitefish after an early-morning, single-vehicle crash involving a tractor trailer running into a rock cut. The OPP said there’s a detour using Municipal Road 55.
