Cooking blamed for a kitchen fire in Elliot Lake

Careless Cooking has been blamed as the cause of a fire in Elliot Lake.  It happened Wednesday, at a row house complex on Farrell Crescent. Upon arrival on the scene, the fire department crew reported smoke showing. Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. The fire was contained to the one unit, with heavy damage in the kitchen area. The fire was accidental and there are no injuries reported. The estimated damage was $200,000.
