No threat to public safety following “suspicious package”

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service says there is no threat to public safety after officers responded to a report of a suspicious package. It happened in the 700 block of Pine Street. Police responded to the call around 1 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. The items inside the package were deemed to be road flares.
