OPP call for better attention from drivers

OPP are reminding drivers to be diligent when on area highways. This is after several major collisions on Trans-Canada Highway 17 between Sault Ste. Marie and Heyden. This highway is the only one to take travellers across Canada and police say it’s busier than it has ever been. .

Meanwhile, the MTO is reporting a lane closure on Highway 17 North.  A collision that occurred shortly after 1 p.m. today has reduced traffic flow near the Havilland Waste Management facility. It is unknown at this time if any injuries were reported as a result of this collision.
