PHU continues to deal with high COVID-19 numbers

The Porcupine Health Unit continues to report high COVID-19 across the catchment area. 57 new COVID-19 cases and 27 recoveries were reported today. There are 33 cases in the James Bay area, 20 in Timmins, and four are in the area of Cochrane, Matheson, Iroquois Falls and Smooth Rock Falls.

As vaccination clinics continue to open in the North East this weekend, recoveries continue to outpace new cases of COVID-19. Public Health Ontario reported 914 new COVID-19 cases in its latest report and 1,397 new recoveries.
