Sudbury group hoping to purchase former golf club for Swimming Hole

A citizens’ group in Greater Sudbury is hoping for a new swimming hole. Their goal? To purchase the former Sixth Avenue Golf Course property to replace Meatbird Lake Park after it was sold to Vale earlier this year. Residents say that made the closed swimming location at Centennial Park near Whitefish, roughly 14 kilometres away along a busy roadway.
