The Timmins and District Hospital is asking to Ontario Government to step in, after it was discovered just before the weekend that it will operate with a deficit into the 2018-19 year. This is after, according to the Hospital, the provincial budget fell short of the needed increase. This year, the hospital says they got an extra $600,000, or 0.9%. The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA), had lobbied the Ontario government for just over a 4.5% increase.
